Coordinate and evaluate environmental activities for the site to ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State and Local environmental regulations Initiate/manage environmentally-related projects and tasks Work with Company environmental and legal groups to evaluate impact of current and proposed regulations Interface with appropriate regulatory agencies and legal counsel on routine and non-routine matters Act as a liaison between plant and outside agencies Initiate, prepare and submit necessary permit applications or amendments Develop compliance solutions and systems to ensure 100% compliance Monitor, interpret and communicate upcoming regulatory changes and initiatives to site management and affected operating areas Conduct compliance audits and develop action plans to close gaps Coordinate gathering/generation of environmental release data for appropriate reports Actively participate in the required environmental training of plant employees
5-10 years experience with air, water and/or solid waste regulation applicability and compliance (e.g., NSPS, NESHAP, MACT, LDAR, SPCC, SWPPP, NPDES, RCRA, etc.) Minimum 5 years process/operational experience in organic chemical industry, oil refining, and/or pollution waste disposal facilities Effective oral and written communications skills BS Science/Engineering Desirable Knowledge/Skills/
Experienced in interfacing with government inspectors (TCEQ, EPA, etc.) Regulatory permit application preparation Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel Ability to multi-task and handle simultaneous assignments Ability to work as a self-directed individual Certification or interest in seeking certification as a Six Sigma Black/Green Belt Back to Start Page Need further assistance?
